GINGERBREAD!

Some time before Christmas I got a part-time job decorating gingerbread. There weren't any restrictions, really, they just had to look fun and cheerful (they were really yummy too!)
Here are pictures of some of them - cheerful, no?
Some of them make me think of 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'... no reason;)

some memories of St Petersburg

I got a mini Diana analogue camera, some black and white film and hoped for the best.
I especially enjoyed being able to create multiple exposures and was looking forward to see some great results.
The lady at Snappy Snaps told me they could not scan the film because 'all the photographs appear to be double exposed and there are no clear boundaries for each shot' and that my camera 'must be faulty', but I still have to pay them 5.99. Whatever.

I scanned it myself.

back to the roots

My dad found this derelict photo of someone he thought was his father. After a careful examination of the writing on the back of the card we realised this wasn't my actual granddad, but still the man whose surname my family inherited. This man was the first husband of my dad's mom, I'm still researching which war he could have died at in 1936. My dad's father was another man who's photo I do not possess. So, technically, I should have a different surname.

Anyway, I retouched the damaged photograph in Photoshop and here is the result of my brilliant work ;)
